FRANK IS BACK / 07
I don't know very much about Frank Zappa, I know he was revolutionary for his music and for his style of life. I decide to express what is more representative of him for all the people who only negligenlty know him. His mustache.
The backgroud color is from an LP cover which is clearly Zappa's style.

This is part of a music legend poster series i'm working on.
MANY THANKS

99 MONTHS / 07
This work has been realized during "99 Months" Workshop c/o
FABRICA with Sophie Thomas assistance.
The work starts from NASA scientist James Hansen’s prediction, that in 99 months from now, our world will reach the “tipping point,” the point of no return where the climate’s reaction to the manmade creation of greenhouse gases will take over, when we will no longer be able to avert the consequences. That’s just over 8 years from now!
We worked on many projects (interactive, print, action), one the print ideas was to create a post-it countdown calendar with low environmental impact behavior printed on you can post-it everywhere...
BLOOMING FLOWER / 07
The project has been realized in 2007 during “TeachMe, some music” workshop c/o IUAV with assistance of Syrup Helsinki.
This is a cover art for the Groove Armada single “Edge Hill”. There’s something ofnatural slowness in how the song grows, this made me thinked about a digital blooming flower...
LIGHT PROJECT / 07
This exercise has been realized during Editorial design course c/o
Scuola Politecnica
di Design
with Silvia Sfligiotti and Paolo Tassinari assistance in collaboration with Damiano "Dug" Merzari (SWI), Alfonso Paolini (VNZ), Silvia Zaghini (ITA).
With text and images provided, we have to re-design a book, following an images narration. We decide to use a middle vertical format. We used parenthesis convention to bring the reader trhrough text, images, and charts, which gave a complex structure to the book.
Images are precessed in a motion-picture way, the result is an images path evolving through the book.
EEF REPORT / 07
The poster has been realized in 2007 during Infographics course c/o Scuola Politecnica di Design
in collaboration with "L' Internazionale", with assistance of Luciano Perondi.
The poster depicts the economic freedom of European countries in 2007. The ranking derived from the sum of ten different voices. What I was most struck, analyzing data, was there were some nations low placed the general classification
but in the first positions in detailed one.
Then I thought to use this radially representation, according to the length of the radius, you can understand
how much greater is the difference between the country with more or less freedom.
Every individual items depicts the average.
SUMMER COLLEGE / 09
This poster has done to promote summer college held by a volunteer organization one of my friend work for
.
NWH TEASER / 08
This is a self-commissioned work realized to promote NervousWetHands new born among graphic design studio i liked.
When I thought about chosing a name for my graphic studio, the first thing in my mind was
it should represent myself. There are a lot of things I hate of myself, first of all, what I really can't tolerate, are my nervous wet hands. It's not easy to be become an architect when the paper you are sketching-on become waved...On the other hand, sweat means that something it's happening, means passion, life...I considered a problem for many years therefore deserved to be in my studio name.
So the teaser I sent to different studios to promote myself, have a CSI like content inside.
Gloves, card and some othere else.
TOYS / 07
This work was realized c/o Scuola Politecnica di Design to promote Studio Museo Achille Castigioni, with the assistance of Studio FM Milano.
Achille Castiglioni is one of the best-known Italian designers all over the world.
It was universally acknowledged to not take itself seriously and for his playful approach to design. Another of his peculiarity was to put away objects from their original context and use them in other ways.
I tried to see what could happen if some of its objects were made in small scale, so you have a small soldier, an organic pattern, a bishop chess
and some other else...
NO VOWELS / 08
This stupid poster has been realized c/o Scuola Politecnica di Design with the assistance of Jekyll e Hyde.
The poster was done as a personal presentation during first lesson's course. I love code, hidden means so one thing I have always thought about (I' m looking for a good flash programmer to develop this application) is what happen removing all the vowels of a text putting them in a disparate wayat the end of the sheet. You can create perhaps a new form of alien writing?
TORNEO DI SCOPA / 09
This poster was created for Society of Mutual Aid Workers. Since this is an association that existed for many years, I tried to use a simple aspect that evokes postwar posters with two colors printing reducing production costs.

DIN! / 08
This is an idea that I was inadvertently suggested by my friend
last year.
The DIN font was effectivelyvery used and seemed succeed very well in any type of application, so it was Damiano out with this sentence...
FAVATA / 09
This poster was created for Society of Mutual Aid Workers. Since this is an association that existed for many years, I tried to use a simple aspect that evokes postwar posters with two colors printing reducing production costs. I know that hiding the poster message within a kind of anagram may be wrong, but I believe observer should never be passive, design have always to increase mental process for those who are facing.
SENIA USEFUL KIT / 07
The project has been realized for “Creative in a box” project c/o Scuola Politecnica di Design, with assistance of Luca Fiammenghi.
The idea is clearly simple, using ordinary object differently, in association with "Non convenitonal use Movement" we can combine everyday objects, using them in a different "particular" way.
Not only a creative box, but a creative use for a simple content.
So we have an optimism o’meter kit, a fresh walking kit, a no-smell kit and some other else, each one with his own use instructions.

CASTAGNATA / 09
This poster was created for Society of Mutual Aid Workers it's quite different from the others, no hidden mean this time i only enjoyed green.
Click'n Tap / 09
This project has been conceived c/o studio LOLA under the Art direction of Andrea Steinfl, with Elio Di Raimondo and Alessia Sellitti. Its' an evolving business card for a informatic developing-systems society.

GIANO / 09
